District Curriculum

At the heart of every school district is the learning of the student.  What are students to know, understand and be able to do?  Curriculum at every level is like a mountain; it gives staff, students, families and community members a viewpoint of all that is taught and the interdependence of all subjects and areas in helping to form outstanding future citizens.  Curriculum is not a textbook or a set of manipulatives - those are resources to help students learn the concepts and skills that are the heart of the curriculum.

Robbinsdale Area Schools embraces the Minnesota State Standards, which are broad, thematic and integrated. Staff in this district are lifelong learners.  We embrace culturally relevant teaching and learning, and strive to create authentic learning experiences for our students where they can see themselves in the learning and feel empowered to learn as much as they can to make the world a better place.
